People look at you and think
Everything is alright
Not realizing that if you blink
You’re going to lose your fight
They see the pretty outside
That you have dressed up
They don’t see the true side
That’s about to erupt

Living with the inside
It’s a hard job sometimes
But you have to keep a good inside
And break your selfish pride
People look at you and think
Everything is okay
But don’t know that you’re about to sink
And your inside is full of decay
Your inside is looking for a hand
To touch it and say
That it can withstand
Just kneel down and pray
Living with the inside
It’s a hard job to do
It needs someone in whom it can confide
Someone it can sit down with and tell the true
Living with the inside
It’s quite a job, I must say
There’s so much you hide
In your inside from day to day
Living with the inside and all you know
Is a job to try and keep
And a matter you don’t want to show
Living with the inside requires a cleaning so deep
Living with the inside
