This thing that beats so fast

Is surely pounding away

This thing that makes my life last

Is broken on today

It feels like it’s in so many pieces

It’s hurting and heavy

It needs to let go of  releases

To stop the pain in me

Is in need of help

Isn’t feeling well kept

All it wants is for someone to care

And to really love it

All it wants is for someone to be there

And then happy will it sit
